SEO Insider Secrets Newsletter - Insider SEO Tip

Long Term Domain Registration

There has been rumor floating around about long domain registrations helping with SEO. We all know that domain age plays a crucial part in SEO, but there is nothing you can do to create that. You can, however control how long your domain is registered. You can register your domain up to 10 years in advance, and it's been shown by some experts to make a difference in your Serps.

Do I know this for sure? No, but it does make sense. Google doesn't want to send traffic to crappy spam sites. Since these crappy spam sites create tons of throwaway domain names it's not likely they'll register it for ten years. Also the spammer knows google will ban them soon, the domain is very disposable to them. This is why i think it matters.

So try it out, register your domain years ahead. this is also a great way to make you don't forget to renew and lose your domain.

If this works and you see better results, let me know! I'd love to hear how that approach worked for you.

Thanks,

Jeremy
